A HUGE thank you to Everyone who participated, for Shine, in this year’s Flora mini marathon. It was wet, a little cold but a LOT of fun. All our Shine runners and walkers were great and made a fantastic effort to come out on their bank holiday to show support for Shine.

Shine-Supporting People Affected by Mental Ill Health has ‘Significant’ Concerns about the Involuntary Use of ECT

Shine – Supporting People Affected by Mental Ill Health has published its submission to the Department of health and Children regarding the proposed amendment of Section 59 (B) of the Mental Health Act 2001, which relates to the involuntary use of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).

Hawaiian Style Surfers Paddle Sandycove on Bloomsday 2010 in aid of Shine Online

SUP (Stand Up Paddle Surfing)

Sandycove is the location of the James Joyce Martello Tower, immortalized in the novel ‘Ulysses’ James Joyce, and is also the birthplace of SUP (Stand Up Paddle Surfing) on the east coast of Ireland where a small but dedicated group of surfers [or SUPers] gather to practice this Hawaiian sport of Kings.
