EUFAMI Launches Remission Related Survey

Attention: open in a new window. PDF | Print | E-mail

The treatment of schizophrenia has evolved dramatically over the past 50 years and EUFAMI (European Federation of Associations of Families of People with Mental Illness) would like to understand how in Europe the perceptions and expectations of people who care or have cared for someone with schizophrenia have changed in this time.

Through partnering with families and carers, EUFAMI can gain insight into the realistic expectations they have for treatment results and use this information to focus efforts when working with policy makers and healthcare professionals in setting achievable treatment goals and the means by which to achieve this.

EUFAMI is therefore asking families and carers in Europe to complete this survey, the results of which will be shared at the EUFAMI Congress in Torun, Poland from the 14th to 16th September and made available online at the EUFAMI website. EUFAMI is very grateful for your participation; you are an integral part of our team in helping to improve the services and information that families, carers and persons with self experience receive, together with challenging the somewhat negative perception that schizophrenia has in the public eye.
