Shine in partnership with MindWise (www.mindwisenv.org) will be jointly hosting an all-Ireland mental health conference in November 2010.

CONFERENCE TITLE:
’’ What price mental health –the value of recovery’’
CONFERENCE AIMS:
This all Ireland conference aims to promote awareness of mental health issues in the following key themes: Health Economics; Early Intervention: Recovery; Criminal Justice and Stigma and Discrimination. The conference will provide a platform for examples of best practice and will inform the sector on the work of Shine and MindWise as leading voluntary sector providers of mental health services in the North and South of Ireland. It also aims to tackle the discrimination and stigma which people with mental health problems still experience.
TARGET AUDIENCES:
The conference itself presents an ideal opportunity to bring together a diverse range of interests including service users, carers, psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, politicians, planners, policy makers and members of the media.
