MENTAL HEALTH POLICY

Shine engages with Government and statutory authorities to bring about improvements in the mental healthcare services available to service users and family members. Shine also works in partnership with other like minded organisations to achieve its objectives.

SUICIDE PREVENTION INITIATIVES

Shine engages in a number of activities aimed at reducing the risk of suicide. These activities include the provision of confidential counselling and special education initiatives such as Life Hope and ASSIST training. Shine lobbies for improved resources towards suicide prevention services.

BINENNIAL CONFERENCE

Held every two years in different locations throughout the country. Each Shine conference takes a specific theme and presents up-to-date research and findings in this area, with input from services users, relatives and health professionals.

SEMINARS AND INFORMATION EVENINGS

These events are held at various locations throughout the year. They aim to provide information on mental ill heatlh and related issues. They provide an opportunity for people to come together and discuss common issues in an open and inclusive setting.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS
